Over the past year, I have come to realize that many of us dream of discovering the world, experiencing new cultures, unforgettable adventures, and disconnecting from our daily routine. My husband and I also dreamed of something different, although we didn't exactly know what it was.

And then it happened, life reminded us that it is short and can end at any moment. After two years of thinking and working at a fast pace, we decided to fulfill a long-standing wish, pay tribute to my father who passed away and always encouraged us to dream big, bring the family together, and give our daughter a lesson in life. Most importantly, we took time for ourselves and each other, which is invaluable in this crazy pace of life we are all pushed into.

Several years ago, I wrote in my book or action diary titled "Make things happen," with which I realized many wishes, including a solo fashion show in New York, that I wanted to go on a round-the-world trip. Then came Covid, a new business, obligations,...and the wish remained just that.

This summer, on a seaside vacation on the lovely island of Solta, my husband and I were talking on the terrace with Nada about what if we traveled a bit before our daughter starts school for the first time next year. In other words, we allowed ourselves to dream on a pleasant summer night. We didn't think much about why not and what all we needed to be aware of before making a final decision. We simply said, "Let's go, life is only one." We couldn't think of any reason why we wouldn't do it.

We gathered the courage that we never lacked and on January 8, we embark on a crazy round-the-world trip, filled with many challenges and crazy adventures that we will share with you with smiles and tears, in the hope that you will also fulfill your dreams! This wish, too, is written and drawn...in my action diary "Make things happen" and has come true.
